John's Handyman Service, an insured, owner-operated handyman business, has launched to serve homeowners in Preston and surrounding suburbs. The business offers general repairs, minor carpentry, painting, tiling, flat-pack assembly, garden maintenance and pressure washing, with pricing set at a half-day rate of $360 or a full day at $640, labour only, materials extra.
The service area covers Preston and suburbs within roughly 10km, including Alphington, Brunswick, Brunswick East, Clifton Hill, Coburg, Coburg North, Fairfield, Fitzroy, Fitzroy North, Heidelberg, Ivanhoe, Macleod, Northcote, Parkville, Princes Hill, Rosanna, Thornbury and Viewbank.
Why we started
John's Handyman Service was founded to address a common problem for homeowners in the area: small jobs — a dripping tap, a sticking door, a cracked tile, a fence that needs painting — that are too small for most tradespeople to prioritise, but still need a qualified hand. The business works without subcontractors, with all jobs completed directly by the owner-operator.
